The purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of academic supervisor lecturers (PA) in providing academic services to Undiksha students.
The activity was carried out at the Undiksha Seminar Building (GSU) on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
The speaker for this activity is Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. while the training participants were representatives of 41 academic supervisors (PA) at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha.
A lecturer as a member of the higher education academic community has strategic roles and functions. These roles and functions are:
1. First, the lecturer is the organizer, meaning that the lecturer must be able to organize student learning activities so as to achieve optimal learning success.
2. Second, the lecturer as a facilitator means that the lecturer must be able to provide freedom for students to develop their potential and try to foster student independence.
3. Third, the lecturer as an innovator means that the knowledge conveyed to students must always be up to date.
4. Fouth, lecturers as inventors mean that in addition to their main task of teaching, lecturers must also carry out research both related to teaching and learning activities and those in accordance with their field of expertise.
5. Fifth, lecturers as role models, meaning that they provide examples not only in ways of thinking but also in terms of behaving, acting and behaving.
6. Sixth, the lecturer as an evaluator means: must understand, understand and master the essence of evaluation.
7. Seventh, the lecturer is as a guide, meaning, showing the way for the students’ learning journey.
