Phenomena related to distress are felt by various age groups, from the elderly, adults, teenagers to children. Age groups who spend so much time in places that are at risk of making them victims of body shaming, cyber-bullying, pornography, cyber-crime, and many more.
The degree of stress experienced at an early age affects the development of the brain’s circuits, and how it responds to stress in the future. there is no early stress leading to normal activation and no increased risk of mental disorders. Mild stress actually reduces reactivity to stress and develops resilience as he matures. Stress is too severe and even chronic causes the circuit to be too sensitive, thus increasing the risk of developing mental disorders if experiencing stressors in adulthood.
The Counseling Guidance Technical Implementation Unit (UPT BK) Service as one of the elements of the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha which functions as a provider of counseling guidance services, especially for students and the community in need, is holding a webinar activity which will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
The purpose of this webinar activity is to provide knowledge on how to deal with depressive disorders and how to take action to overcome them in people with depression.
